Hey readers!...Yesterday, me (mimiey) n lyna (n her collegues) went for a trip to Pelumpong Island somewhere in brunei muara yesterday morning. We departed from the Serasa beach and the boat trip took about 15-20 mins to reach the island. It's a nice place for picnic eventho i might say...it's quite an abandon place.... i hope someone will do something about that place to beautify (is there such word?) it... They need to renovate that place to make it a better resort island for tourists especially.
The beach side is quite interesting... we didnt plan for swimming...but ended up playing in the water at last....esp when we were so excited to see clearly so many fish swimming... Me n lyna.... decided to take a plastic n found a usable container to catch the fish (tho we failed....they swam faster than we thought...haha). We got so wet we finally decided to just enjoy the salty water (eventho i complained so much about it hahhaa). The weather was so hot we got sunburnt...my skin felt really painful but we still wanted to stay in the water...haha... but no...we didnt swim.....jus pretended that we could...i hardly remember how to swim lol.... the rest of the guys (lyna's collegues) were fishing all day and some of them managed to get this long fish...(not sure what we called it.... lets the picture below do the talking and u tell me!)
FYI: The island is situated between the sea and the river. so u will get to experience both the salty water of the sea and the fresh water (air tawar..inda ku tau bie how to describe it hahaha...)of the river.
Departure place : Serasa Beach
Lyna..lookin so proud with what she caught! (hahaha AS if!! :P)
Silhouttes! i love silhouettes!
Anyway..me n lyna decided to leave early...so we took the lunch hr trip to go back whilst the rest stayed till the afternoon....
BUILDING THE FESTIVES' ARCH (Saturday, 12th July 2008)
Finally...my big task is done. We built up the arch on Saturday when everything were finally ready. It took me n 2 of my collegues about 2 weeks to get it done. From designing the layout - to painting - to making the frames and lastly to build them up! Thank god we had the rest of the male teachers helping us building them up in front of the school. And i was the only female teacher.. of course...haha...what to do...i had to be the big boss that day, making sure everything's perfect but i had to leave at 4pm and let them do the last bit.
This afternoon...we will do our final touch including sticking the missing part (if u notice...we forgot the dots for the Jawi's Ya - for the word "Duli") So before we receive any complain, we will have to fix that later.
This is it for today.
xoxo;
